Introduction: Seeing the Divine Everywhere
After revealing the most secret knowledge in Chapter 9, Krishna now reveals His divine manifestations (Vibhutis). Chapter 10 is called Vibhuti Yoga — the Yoga of Divine Glories. Krishna does not ask Arjuna to believe in Him abstractly. He shows Arjuna how to see the Divine everywhere — in the sun, the moon, the Vedas, the mind, the lion, the banyan tree, the letters of the alphabet.
This chapter is a lens. It teaches you to look at the world and see the Divine shining through all things. Anything that is glorious, beautiful, powerful, or excellent — that is a spark of the Divine. By seeing the Divine in all, you come to know the Divine directly.

Section 1: Krishna as the Source of All (Verses 1-7)
Krishna begins:
“Listen again to My supreme word, O Arjuna. I reveal it because you are dear to Me. Neither the gods nor the great sages know My origin. I am the source of all gods and sages.”
Verse 3:
“One who knows Me as the unborn, the beginningless, the Supreme Lord of all worlds — that person, undeluded, is freed from all sin.”
Verse 4-5:
“Intellect, wisdom, non-delusion, forgiveness, truth, self-control, calmness, pleasure, pain, birth, death, fear, fearlessness — all these qualities arise from Me.”
Verse 6-7:
“The seven great sages, the four ancient sages, and the Manus — all were born from My mind. One who truly knows My divine glories is established in unshakable yoga.”
Section 2: The Benefits of Knowing Krishna (Verses 8-11)
Verse 8:
“I am the source of all. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who know this worship Me with all their hearts.”
Verse 9:
“Their minds are fixed on Me, their lives are devoted to Me, they delight in teaching one another about Me.”
Verse 10-11:
“To those who are always devoted to Me, worshipping Me with love, I give the wisdom by which they come to Me. Out of compassion, I destroy the darkness of their ignorance.”
This is the promise of grace. The Divine does not remain distant. The Divine actively helps the devotee, giving wisdom and destroying ignorance.
Section 3: Arjuna’s Praise and Request (Verses 12-18)
Arjuna responds with beautiful praise:
“You are the Supreme Brahman, the ultimate abode, the purest of the pure. All the sages declare this — Narada, Asita, Devala, Vyasa — and You Yourself tell me.”
Verse 14-15:
“I believe everything You say, O Krishna. Neither the gods nor demons know Your manifestations. Only You know Yourself.”
Verse 16-18:
“Please tell me again of Your divine glories. How can I know You? In what forms are You to be meditated upon? Tell me again in detail.”
Arjuna wants to see the Divine in all things. He asks for a map — a way to recognize the Divine in the world.
Section 4: Krishna’s Vibhutis — The Divine Manifestations (Verses 19-38)
Krishna replies:
“I will tell you of My divine glories. There is no end to them. I will tell you of the most prominent.”

Key Teachings of Chapter 10
1. The Divine is the Source of All
Everything emanates from the Divine. Intellect, wisdom, forgiveness, truth, self-control, pleasure, pain, birth, death — all arise from the Divine.
2. The Wise Worship the Source
Those who know that the Divine is the source of all worship the Divine directly, not just the manifestations.
3. Grace is Real
The Divine gives wisdom to devotees and destroys the darkness of ignorance. You are not alone. Grace is active.
4. The Divine Can Be Seen Everywhere
Anything glorious, beautiful, or powerful is a spark of the Divine. The lion, the banyan tree, the Ganges, the mind, the letter ‘A’ — all reveal the Divine.
5. This is Only a Sample
Krishna says the list is endless. The entire universe is a manifestation of the Divine. Every atom, every creature, every moment reveals the Divine.
6. A Single Fragment Supports the Universe
The entire universe rests on a single fragment of the Divine. The Divine is infinitely greater than the universe.
Practical Application: How to Live Chapter 10
1. See the Divine in everything. When you see a beautiful sunset, remember: this is a spark of the Divine. When you meet a wise person, remember: their wisdom is a spark of the Divine. When you feel love, remember: love is a spark of the Divine.
2. Worship the source, not just the spark. Do not get lost in the beauty of creation. See the creator through the creation. The spark points to the fire.
3. Ask for grace. You cannot know the Divine by your own effort alone. Ask for wisdom. Ask for the destruction of ignorance. Grace is real.
4. Do not be overwhelmed by the list. Krishna says the list is endless. You do not need to memorize it. The principle is simple: whatever is glorious, beautiful, or powerful — that reveals the Divine.
5. Know that you are supported by the Divine. The entire universe rests on a single fragment of the Divine. You are never separate. You are always held.

Conclusion: The Lens of Vision
Chapter 10 of the Bhagavad Gita is a lens. It teaches you how to see. Not with the physical eyes alone, but with the eyes of wisdom. When you look at a lion, see the Divine. When you look at a banyan tree, see the Divine. When you look at the Ganges, see the Divine. When you look at a wise person, see the Divine. When you look at the letter ‘A’, see the Divine.
The list is endless because the Divine is everywhere. Every atom, every creature, every moment reveals the Divine. The glorious, the beautiful, the powerful — these are the sparks. But the fire is the Divine itself.
As Krishna declares (Verse 42):
“What need is there for all this detailed knowledge? I support the entire universe with a single fragment of Myself.”
You do not need to memorize the list. You only need to remember: everything rests on the Divine. Everything reveals the Divine. See the Divine everywhere. Worship the source of all. Be free.
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti.
